Eisenhower Elementary School Campus Grace Milliman Pollock Education and Performing Arts Center

Much progress is being made by the Camp Hill School Board as it takes a major step forward in continuing to advance the quality of education in our schools.  The School Board enthusiastically looks toward the future, when in approximately three years, third through fifth grades will be at the Eisenhower site, along with the distinctive Grace Milliman Pollock Center for the Performing Arts.

In January 2006, thanks to Mrs. Grace Milliman Pollock, the Camp Hill School District became the beneficiary of one of the largest gifts ever given to a public school district.  A longtime resident and noted philanthropist, Mrs. Pollock donated $15 million to the Camp Hill School District Lion Foundation for the creation of, and endowment to sustain, the Grace Milliman Pollock Center for the Performing Arts at the Eisenhower site, benefiting children and residents of Camp Hill.

Although Mrs. Pollock did not stipulate that the center be attached to a school, she gave the School Board the opportunity to do so.  Both the Board and the superintendent recognized the chance to enhance the vision for our schools, while meeting our future needs.  Adding an elementary school to a performing arts center provides a unique educational program, for all third through fifth grade students, not found anywhere else in this area.  In addition, this provides our district the opportunity to expand offerings for middle and high school students in the areas of performing arts, dance, music, band and technology - to name a few.
