Spring Creek Elementary School was built to merge two existing schools Houserville and Lemont Elementary Schools and is home to approximately 450 students in grades kindergarten through fifth grades.  The design meets the district’s goals of providing 21st century collaborative education through the incorporation of technology, flexible learning areas and meeting goals of sustainability. The three “Grade Houses” in the school each consist of two dedicated grades that include three classrooms per grade, cluster informal breakout space outside of classrooms for individual learning and enclosed small group instruction as needed.  The mixture between informal and formal support space offers teachers, specialized instruction and volunteers multiple approaches for instruction with the students. Glass between each of these spaces exists allowing privacy between program, and also providing visual control.
