Hambright Elementary School
Penn Manor School District
The new 750 student school is designed with flexible and adaptable educational environments able to meet the specific needs of all learners while also accommodating various types of instructional exercises for both small and large groups. The school is organized into three educational wings which each serve two grade levels and contain classrooms and support spaces. Each wing is organized around a large academic commons which develops and fosters collaborative learning and small group and individual instruction.
Public spaces are arranged along “Main Street” which acts as a way-finding element and group gathering/staging space. Administrative offices have visual access to the transportation areas and maintain physical security via the secure vestibule entry system.
