Lewisburg Area High School
Lewisburg Area School District
Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates completed a detailed facility assessment of the old Lewisburg Area High School. Prior to the construction of the new high school, the previous school, though located in the center of town, was severely undersized, and didn’t have adequate space on the site to properly support all the school’s needs. After careful deliberation, the school board approved the construction of a new high school which was completed in time for the 2016-2017 school year. This included the correct size and quantity of athletic fields, as well as sufficient parking spaces and egress. As a result, the district constructed the new high school on a 200-acre parcel of land owned by the district. This allowed the district to not only construct the new building, but provide practice fields , including a new artificial turf facility and sufficient parking/egress. The building is strategically located on the site as such to allow for construction of future buildings and athletic fields.
The new 700 student school features flexible learning classrooms, six science labs, auditorium, band and choral rooms, technical education, media studio, gymnasium and auxiliary gym, weight and cardio rooms plus administration, guidance and nurse areas.
