The Dennis L. Swift Youth Center is a minimum-security facility, consisting of male and female detention housing units. The design intent was to create a “school” atmosphere rather than a detention center. Key program space includes counselor offices, intake / discharge areas, medical suite, multi-purpose rooms, classrooms gymnasium and enclosed outdoor exercise space.
