CRA has been partnering with Villanova University to renovate and revitalize the Connelly Center, a student hub and central gathering space for the campus community for the past 45 years. The project reinvigorates the building while maintaining its distinctive character. The primary goal was to transform the space to reflect the University’s commitment to excellence in education and their vision for the future.
Phase 1 has been occupied since early April 2025 which was a renovation of the Villanova Room, one of the University’s largest multipurpose gathering spaces intended for campus and student events. Phase 1 scope includes updated finishes, lighting, AV and a Villanova University branded focal point wall to house the backdrop of speakers, including during televised events.
Phase 2 consisted of renovations of the building to enhance student common spaces, expansion of food and dining services and the reorganization of the Belle Air Terrace, a unique multitiered student use area with an integrated stage for events. Phase 2, which opened in the summer of 2025, included a full renovation and flexible/ varied seating arrangements to accommodate modern student life.
