Summa Rehabilitation Hospital

The Summa Rehabilitation Hospital sets on the Akron City Hospital Campus and is an inpatient facility offering rehabilitation space, radiology, pharmacy services, administrative offices and additional support spaces.  Each private room is organized into zones: caregiver, patient and family area.  This organization is designed provide for an inviting environment, quick patient recovery and ease of use for caregivers. The main rehabilitation space incorporates ample natural light and a connection to the natural environment; to enhance the healing environment. A outdoor garden is incorporated into the design on the second level adjacent to the main rehabilitation space. This outdoor space not only integrates rehabilitative functions, but also enhances the connection with nature.
